Is Shopify the right platform for your store?

Shopify suits brands that want a reliable store with as little technical upkeep as possible. Shopify handles hosting, security and platform updates, and its admin is built for everyday tasks like adding products and processing orders.

In return you pay a monthly Shopify plan, paid apps add to the bill, and there are limits on how far you can change the platform itself. If owning the code and hosting matters more to you, a WooCommerce store on WordPress is the alternative.

What does the Shopify Store Build cover?

The build follows a written scope, so you know before ordering what is set up and what is not. It uses a theme you choose, free or paid, rather than a theme built from scratch.

Do I need my own Shopify account?

Yes. The store runs on a Shopify account in your name, and you choose and pay for the plan. If you do not have an account yet, we help you open one. Our team then works through a staff account that you can remove at any time.

What does a Shopify store cost to run?

You pay Shopify for your plan, and app makers for any paid apps, plus payment fees on each sale. Hosting is part of the Shopify plan, so there is no separate hosting bill. All of these are billed to you directly, not through us.

Can you build a custom Shopify theme from scratch?

Yes. The Shopify Custom Theme designs and codes a theme for your brand, with up to eight templates and fifteen reusable sections your team arranges in the theme editor. The Shopify Store Build instead styles an existing theme you choose, which suits new stores.
