Generative engine optimization: how to get cited by AI search
What generative engine optimization really is, what the research shows, and a step-by-step plan to get your pages cited by AI search.
A Shopify theme designed and coded for your brand, with sections your team rearranges without a developer.
Your Shopify store has grown, but its template still looks like many other stores and fights the layouts you want. Shopify Custom Theme replaces it with a theme built for your brand. We design up to eight templates in Figma, code up to fifteen reusable sections, check your apps, and test everything on a duplicate theme before customers see it.

Shopify Custom Theme is a Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme designed and coded for your brand rather than adapted from a template. It covers up to 8 templates designed in Figma, up to 15 custom sections in Liquid, product page blocks, app checks, a speed and accessibility report, and testing on a duplicate theme before publishing.
A template gets a new store selling fast, which is why Shopify Store Build uses one. Established brands hit its limits. Product pages cannot show bundles or upsells the way you want, sections do not match your brand, and each workaround adds another app. A custom theme fixes that at the root. We design your key templates, then code reusable sections and product page blocks in Liquid. Up to five existing apps are checked, and speed and accessibility are tested on a duplicate theme, so your live store keeps trading until you publish.
We design up to eight templates in Figma for your brand, then code them as your own theme. Two rounds of revisions shape the design before coding.
Product page blocks for variants, bundles or upsells are built as specified. They sit in the theme itself rather than in extra apps.
Up to fifteen custom sections can be added, moved and removed in the theme editor. A written editor guide shows your team how.
Everything is built on a duplicate theme, with app, speed, accessibility and mobile checks. Customers see the new theme only after you approve it.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 30–40 working days | $10,775 |
Before you start: Run a speed test and note conversion and add-to-cart rates on the current theme. List the apps you use to patch layouts.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The theme is a one-time build, and its code is yours, so there is no theme licence to renew. After launch you keep paying for a Shopify plan and any apps you choose, billed by Shopify and the app makers. Those accounts stay with you.

Usually when the store is established and the template is holding it back. Signs include product pages that cannot show bundles or upsells properly, layouts that need apps to patch them, and a design that looks like other stores. New stores are often better served by a template first, through Shopify Store Build.
Up to five existing apps are checked with the new theme before it is published. You list the apps the store must keep working with at intake, such as email or reviews apps, and we confirm each one displays and behaves correctly on the duplicate theme. Checking more than five, or rebuilding an app, is quoted separately.
Yes. The theme is built for Online Store 2.0, so your team adds, removes and reorders up to fifteen custom sections in the Shopify theme editor. A written editor guide shows how. New section types or major layout changes later can go through optional maintenance change hours or a Change Quote.
No. The new theme is built and tested on a duplicate theme in your store, so customers keep shopping on your current one. Speed, accessibility, mobile and app checks all happen there. The new theme is published only after you approve it, and your old theme stays in the theme library as a fallback.
Shopify Store Build sets up a new store on a theme you choose, loads your products and configures payments, shipping and tax. Shopify Custom Theme is for an existing store that needs its own design and code. It does not load products or set up the store. If you are starting from scratch, begin with Shopify Store Build.
No. The theme covers the online store pages, such as home, collection, product, cart and content pages. Shopify's checkout is controlled separately, and Shopify Plus checkout extensions are outside this build. If you need checkout changes on Shopify Plus, start with a Discovery Sprint so the work can be scoped and quoted.
You do. The theme lives in your Shopify store, and the code sits in a Git repository you own, so any Shopify developer can work on it later. There is no theme licence fee to renew. We work through collaborator access, which you can remove from the Shopify admin once the theme is handed over.
Yes, it is built with Core Web Vitals and Shopify theme standards in mind. Before publishing, speed and accessibility are checked on the duplicate theme, and you get a report. Real-world results also depend on your apps, images and content, so no specific score is promised. Heavy apps can slow any theme.
