Website & Marketing Add-ons

Extra Market

One more language or country added to your international setup, tagged, mapped and checked with the rest.

Expanding into another country or language is exciting, but a new market needs to fit cleanly into your existing setup. Extra Market adds one more language or country to International SEO Setup. We extend your hreflang tags to the new market, update the sitemap, build a keyword map from local searches and validate everything together with your existing markets.

What it is

Extra Market is a one-time add-on for International SEO Setup. It adds one more language or country beyond the three included, with hreflang tags extended to the new market, an updated sitemap, a keyword map built from that market's searches and a validation check alongside your existing markets.

Why businesses buy it

Each new market adds complexity to an international site. Hreflang tags must point both ways between every version, so a new market touches all the others. Done in a hurry, it can break tags that were working fine. Extra Market treats the new market as part of the whole, not an afterthought. It keeps your structure consistent and gives the new market its own keyword map. Rankings there still depend on local competition and content, so the add-on prepares the ground rather than promising results.

Problems this solves

Searchers in a new country land on the wrong language version

We extend your hreflang tags to one more language or country. Search engines can then point visitors to the version meant for them. Translating the pages themselves is not included.

Keywords from your home market miss how people search elsewhere

We build a keyword map from the new market's own searches. It shows which terms local buyers use, so the pages for that market can target words people there actually type.

Adding a market could break the hreflang setup that already works

The new tags are validated together with your existing markets, and your sitemap is updated for the new market. The check appears in your setup report for every market.

A good fit if

You are buying International SEO Setup, or already have it, and need a fourth market or more.
You are expanding into a new country or language and already have pages for it.
You want the new market tagged and checked together with your existing ones, so nothing conflicts.
You know which products or services matter most in that market.

Not the right fit if

You have not set up international SEO yet. Start with International SEO Setup, which covers up to three markets.
You need the new market's pages translated. Translation is not included, so arrange it first.
You want ongoing SEO in the new market every month. See Growth SEO.
You need a new language version of your website built. Note it at checkout for a Change Quote.

How it works

  1. You add Extra Market to International SEO Setup and share the new market's translated or localized pages.
  2. Hreflang tags are extended so the new market links correctly to every existing version.
  3. The sitemap is updated, and we build a keyword map from what people in the new market search for.
  4. The new tags are validated together with your existing markets, and results go into your setup report.

What you receive at handover

  • Hreflang tags extended to one more language or country
  • An updated sitemap including the new market
  • A keyword map built from that market's searches
  • A validation report, included in your setup report

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Visitors in the new market can be shown the right version of your pages.
  • A local keyword map helps you write content in the terms buyers there use.
Impressions from the new country
Filter the Search Console Performance report by country and compare the months before launch with the months after.
Hreflang errors
Run a crawl or check Search Console for hreflang issues before the work and again after validation.
Clicks to the market's pages
Filter Search Console by the market's URL folder or domain and follow clicks month by month.

Before you start: Before work starts, record Search Console impressions and clicks from the target country. Note which pages for that market already exist and are translated.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

There are no running costs for the add-on itself. Translating pages for the new market is your own cost, through whichever translator, agency or plugin you choose.

Custom requirements

Keep it running

This is a one-time add-on, so there is no ongoing fee. The new market becomes part of your international setup, and the report explains how to tag new pages for it. You can order another Extra Market whenever you expand again.

Questions about this product

Can I order Extra Market without International SEO Setup?

No. Extra Market extends an international setup that already covers up to three markets. If you have not set that up yet, order International SEO Setup first, or both together. The setup defines the URL structure and tagging approach the extra market then follows, so the two always work as a pair.

Does a new language count the same as a new country?

Yes. Each Extra Market covers one language or one country version, such as French for France or English for Ireland. A version that combines a language and a region, like Spanish for Mexico, also counts as one. If you are unsure how to count your versions, ask before ordering.

Why build a separate keyword map for each market?

Because people search differently in different places. The same product may have a different everyday name, and search volumes vary by country. Translating your main keywords word for word often misses what locals actually type. A separate map gives each market's pages the right words to aim for.

Do you translate the pages for the new market?

No. Translation is not included. We need translated or localized pages before the hreflang tags can go live. If your translations are still in progress, tell us your timing at checkout, and we plan the add-on around when the pages will be ready.

Will adding a market affect my existing markets?

It should not, if done carefully. Hreflang tags work in sets, so adding a market means updating every existing version to point to the new one. We do that and validate all markets together, so the new version slots in without breaking anything already in place.

What happens after the extra market is added?

The new market's tags, sitemap entries and keyword map are in place, and the results appear in your setup report. You can remove our access once it is delivered. Questions are covered by the support period of International SEO Setup, and new pages in that market should follow the tagging notes.
