Website Migration to WordPress

Your Wix, Squarespace or Webflow site moved to WordPress you own, with every page and redirect checked.

You have outgrown your site builder and want a website you own. We take an inventory of your current site, rebuild up to 25 pages and posts on WordPress to match your current look, and move the text, images, titles and meta descriptions across. Every changed URL gets a 301 redirect, forms are rebuilt, and each page is checked against the old site.

  • Up to 25 pages and posts moved from your builder
  • 301 redirects set and tested for every changed URL
  • Design rebuilt to match your current look

What it is

Website Migration to WordPress moves a Wix, Squarespace or Webflow site of up to 25 pages, blog posts included, onto WordPress hosting in your name. The design is rebuilt to match your current look, content and page titles move across, 301 redirects are applied and tested, forms are rebuilt and analytics and search console are connected.

Why businesses buy it

Site builders are a fine place to start, but many businesses reach a point where they want their own hosting, more plugins and freedom to move. The risk is the move itself. Missed pages, broken links and lost titles can undo years of search history. This package starts with a full inventory, rebuilds every page to match, and tests every redirect and form against the old site before switching. Your visitors find the same site at the same addresses, now on WordPress you control.

Problems this solves

Your site lives on a builder you rent and cannot fully control

We move a Wix, Squarespace or Webflow site of up to 25 pages onto WordPress hosting in your name. The design is rebuilt to match how your site looks today.

Changing platforms risks losing search traffic through broken links

We take an inventory of every current page, URL and media file. A 301 redirect map is applied, and every redirect is tested against the old site before launch.

Blog posts and page titles may not survive a manual move

Text, images and page titles move across, blog posts included, within the 25-page scope. Every page is checked against the old site so nothing goes missing.

Forms and analytics stop working after a platform switch

Forms are rebuilt and tested on WordPress, and analytics and search console are connected again. Enquiries and reporting carry on from the moment the new site goes live.

A good fit if

Your site runs on Wix, Squarespace or Webflow and has up to 25 pages and posts.
You want hosting and a website in your own name that you can move freely.
You like your current design and want it kept rather than replaced.
Your site gets visitors from search and links that must keep working.

Not the right fit if

You want a fresh design as part of the move. A new build such as WordPress Business Website or Corporate Website fits better.
Your site is an online store. See Store Migration or WooCommerce Store Build.
Your site has a member area. See Membership Website.
You are happy on your platform and only want a new look. See Website Redesign.

How it works

  1. We take an inventory of every page, post, URL and image on your current site.
  2. Hosting and a domain are confirmed in your name, and WordPress is set up on them.
  3. Up to 25 pages and posts are rebuilt on WordPress to match your current design.
  4. Text, images, page titles and meta descriptions are moved across, and forms are rebuilt and tested.
  5. A 301 redirect map is applied, and every redirect, form and page is checked against the old site.
  6. After your check and one revision round, the domain is switched, analytics and search console are connected, and you get a written walkthrough.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Admin access to your current site by invite or a key you control.
  • Hosting and domain access by invite or a key you control, or approval to set them up in your name.
  • Viewer access to Google Search Console.
  • One person who checks the moved pages.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

What you receive at handover

  • A WordPress site of up to 25 pages on hosting in your name, matching your current look
  • An inventory of your old pages, URLs and media
  • Text, images, page titles and blog posts moved across
  • A 301 redirect map, applied and tested
  • Forms rebuilt and tested, with analytics and search console connected
  • A launch checklist and a short written walkthrough

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Gives you a site you own and can take to any WordPress host or developer
  • Helps keep the search traffic and links your old site built up
  • Makes it easier to add features later without builder limits
Organic clicks
Compare search console clicks for the four weeks before the move and the four weeks after.
Not-found errors
Check the pages report in search console after launch for any old URLs that return errors.
Form submissions
Compare monthly form enquiries before and after the move to confirm nothing dropped.

Before you start: Export your current traffic and top pages from analytics and note monthly form enquiries. Save a search console export from the old site before switching.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The migration is paid once, and the price is shown before you buy. After the move you pay for your hosting, domain and any paid plugins you choose, billed by your host, registrar and plugin makers, instead of your site builder plan. Every account stays in your name.

Questions about this product

Can you move my Wix site to WordPress without losing search traffic?

We take the steps that protect it, though no one can promise traffic. Every page is inventoried, titles and meta descriptions are carried over, and a 301 redirect is set for every URL that changes. Each redirect is tested against the old site, and Search Console is connected so you can watch Google pick up the move.

Does the migration work for Squarespace and Webflow sites too?

Yes. The package covers Wix, Squarespace and Webflow sites of up to 25 pages. The process is the same for each: we list every page, URL and image, rebuild the pages on WordPress, move the content and set redirects. Some builder features have no direct WordPress match, and we flag those at intake.

Will my site look the same after moving to WordPress?

Yes, as close as WordPress allows. The design is rebuilt to match your current layout, colors, fonts and images. Small differences can appear where a builder effect has no direct equal, and you review every page in one revision round. If you want a fresh design during the move, a new build such as WordPress Business Website fits better.

Are blog posts moved across in the migration?

Yes, and blog posts count toward the 25-page limit. Each post moves with its text, images, title and meta description, and its old address is redirected if it changes. If you have a large blog, tell us the number of posts at intake. Anything beyond 25 can be added with Extra Page or quoted through a Change Quote.

Why move from a site builder to WordPress at all?

Mainly ownership and flexibility. On WordPress your site runs on hosting in your name, you can choose from a very wide range of plugins, and you can change hosts whenever you like. The trade-off is upkeep: WordPress needs updates, backups and security care that a hosted builder handles for you. That is why care after launch matters.

What happens to my old Wix or Squarespace plan after the move?

You cancel it yourself once the new site is live and checked. We suggest keeping the old plan for a short overlap, so pages can still be compared if a question comes up. The domain is pointed at your new WordPress hosting at launch. If the domain was bought through the builder, we explain how to transfer it.

When will my WordPress site replace the old one?

The delivery time is shown in the price panel before you order. It starts once access to your current site, hosting, domain and Search Console arrives, which should be within 72 hours. Every day of delay beyond that moves delivery by 3 working days. The switch happens only after every redirect and form has been checked.

Who maintains the WordPress site after the migration?

We support the new site for 30 days after launch. After that, WordPress care is handled by webcare24, our WordPress care brand, covering updates, backups, security and fixes, with no Upmark maintenance fee. This matters more on WordPress than on a builder, because updates are no longer done for you automatically.

Move to WordPress and keep every link working.
