Store Migration

Your online store moved to Shopify or WooCommerce, with products, customers, orders and links intact.

Changing store platform is stressful, because products, customers and search history are on the line. We plan the move from WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce to Shopify or WooCommerce. Up to 500 products, 500 customers and 500 orders are transferred, and the new store gets your branding, payments, shipping and tax. Old URLs are redirected, and test orders run before the switch-over.

What it is

Store Migration moves an online store to Shopify or WooCommerce from WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce. It covers a store audit and plan, and up to 500 products, 500 customers and 500 orders. The new store gets a branded theme, payments, shipping, tax, redirects, test orders and a written admin guide.

Why businesses buy it

A store migration has many moving parts, and small slips are costly. A missed variant breaks a best-seller, a wrong tax rule shows the wrong price, and unredirected product links send shoppers to error pages. This package works from a written plan and counts products, prices and redirects before switching. Your current store keeps trading while the new one is built and tested. The switch-over happens at a time you agree, once test orders pass, and a written admin guide shows your team how to run the new admin.

Problems this solves

Your store platform no longer fits how the business sells

We move your store to Shopify or WooCommerce, starting with a store audit and migration plan. The new store is set up on a theme with your logo, colors and fonts.

Products, customers and orders could be lost in the move

Up to 500 products move with images, variants and prices, plus up to 500 customers and 500 orders. Product counts and prices are checked before switch-over.

Old product links break and search traffic drops

A redirect map covers products, categories and pages, so old links point to the right place on the new store. Analytics and search console are set up as part of the move.

Checkout problems appear only when real customers try to pay

Payments, shipping and tax are set up on the new store, with up to two payment methods. Test orders run before switch-over, and the report shows each result.

A good fit if

Your store runs on WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce, and you want to move to Shopify or WooCommerce.
You have up to 500 products, 500 customer records and 500 orders to move.
Your product and category pages get visitors from search and must keep working.
You want the store to keep trading until a planned switch-over.

Not the right fit if

You are opening your first store, with nothing to move. See WooCommerce Store Build or Shopify Store Build.
Your website has no store and runs on Wix, Squarespace or Webflow. See Website Migration to WordPress.
You rely on subscriptions with saved payment details. These cannot be moved and need a Change Quote.
You have more than 500 products to move. Add Extra 50 Products, or note it for a Change Quote.
Your store runs on Magento or Adobe Commerce. These moves are scoped separately, so start with a Discovery Sprint.

How it works

  1. We audit your current store and confirm what its platform lets us export. Then we write a plan covering data, apps, payments, shipping, tax and URLs.
  2. The new store is set up on a theme with your logo, colors and fonts.
  3. Up to 500 products move across with images, variants and prices, followed by up to 500 customers and 500 orders.
  4. Payments, shipping and tax are configured, with up to two payment methods, plus analytics and search console.
  5. A redirect map is applied for products, categories and pages, then counts, prices and test orders are checked.
  6. After your review and one revision round, the switch-over happens at an agreed time and your team gets a written admin guide.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Admin access to your current store by invite or a key you control.
  • Owner access to the new platform by staff invite. We can help you open the account.
  • Your payment provider account.
  • Your shipping rates and tax rules.
  • One person who approves the new store.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

What you receive at handover

  • A new store on a theme with your logo, colors and fonts, with payments, shipping and tax set up
  • Up to 500 products moved with images, variants and prices
  • Up to 500 customer records and 500 orders moved (customers are invited to set a new password)
  • A redirect map for products, categories and pages, plus a test orders report

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Lets you sell on the platform that suits your business without starting from zero
  • Helps keep search traffic flowing to product and category pages after the switch
  • Makes it easier for your team to run the new store from the first week
Store conversion rate
Compare orders per visit in your store analytics for the four weeks before and after switch-over.
Organic clicks to products
Watch search console clicks to product and category pages after launch and compare them with the old store.
Failed or abandoned checkouts
Check abandoned checkout and payment error figures in the new store's admin each week after launch.

Before you start: Export a month of orders, conversion rate and organic clicks from the old store. Record your product, customer and order counts before the move.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The migration is paid once, and the price is shown before you buy. After the move you pay for your Shopify plan or WooCommerce hosting, plus any paid apps or plugins and payment fees on each sale. These are billed by the platform, app makers and payment provider, in your name.

Custom requirements

Moving from Magento or Adobe Commerce, more than 500 products, customers or orders, subscriptions with saved payment details, or a custom theme? Add a note at checkout for a written Change Quote. Very large projects use the Custom AI enquiry form instead.

Keep it running

After the support period, optional monthly maintenance keeps the new store in good shape. It covers monitoring, fixes, theme and app or plugin updates, a monthly health report and change hours for small jobs. Bigger changes go through a Change Quote, and you can stop maintenance any month.

$199/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

Do customers need new passwords after a store migration?

Yes. Passwords cannot be moved between store platforms, because each one stores them in a protected form that cannot be copied. Customer records do move across, and customers are invited to set a new password on the new store. We can help you word that invite so it reads as a normal welcome.

Is it better to move from WooCommerce to Shopify or the other way?

It depends on what you want to manage. Shopify suits stores that want hosting, security and updates handled for them, for a monthly plan. WooCommerce suits stores that want to own the code and hosting and accept more upkeep. We move stores in either direction, and from Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce to either one.

Will order history move to the new store?

Yes. Up to 500 past orders move across, along with up to 500 customer records and 500 products with images, variants and prices. Orders arrive as history for your records and reporting. Subscriptions and saved payment details cannot be moved and are outside this package. Larger stores are quoted through a Change Quote.

How do you keep product pages findable after the switch?

We map every old product, category and page URL to its new address and set redirects before the switch-over. That way links from search results, emails and other sites still land on the right page. Analytics and search console are connected on the new store. Rankings can still shift after any move, and no one can guarantee them.

Can the store keep trading during the migration?

Yes. Your current store stays live while we build and test the new one. Near the end, we agree a switch-over time, ideally a quiet hour, and point the domain only after test orders pass on the new store. That way customers see the new checkout only once it has been proven to work.

What will the new store look like after the migration?

It runs on a theme set up with your logo, colors and fonts, so returning customers still recognize you. This is a theme setup, not a theme built from scratch. If you need a section the theme does not offer, add Custom Section or Feature. A fully custom theme is outside this package and is quoted through a Change Quote.

When will the switch-over to the new store happen?

The delivery time is shown in the price panel before you order. It starts once access to both platforms, your payment provider, shipping rates and tax rules arrive, which should be within 72 hours. Every day of delay beyond that moves delivery by 3 working days. The exact switch-over time is agreed with you near the end.

What support is there after the store migration?

You get 30 days of support for anything that does not work as agreed. After that, optional monthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes, theme and app or plugin updates, a monthly health report and change hours for small jobs. You can also run the store yourself using the written admin guide, and stop maintenance any month.

Change store platform without starting from zero.

Order the Store Migration and move your products, customers and orders between WooCommerce and Shopify, with links redirected and test orders passed before you switch.
