Personalization Quick-Start Sprint

A small, measured test of website personalization on your own traffic, ending in a clear recommendation to keep going or stop.

Personalization sounds promising, but full tools and builds are a big commitment before you know they help. Personalization Quick-Start Sprint tests the idea on your own site first. We check your traffic, data and consent setup, launch three personalized experiences, and compare them with a holdout group. After a month of results, you get a clear recommendation to keep going or stop.

  • Data, consent and traffic checked before anything is built
  • 3 experiences measured against a holdout group
  • A plain keep-or-stop recommendation from your results

What it is

Personalization Quick-Start Sprint is a one-time pilot of website personalization. We check your data, consent setup and traffic, and map up to 4 visitor segments. Then we launch 3 personalized experiences on up to 3 pages. A holdout group runs for 30 days, then you get a results readout and a keep-or-stop recommendation.

Why businesses buy it

Many businesses buy a personalization tool, set up a few rules and never find out whether it helped. Others skip it because the cost is hard to justify. This sprint gives you evidence first. We check you have enough traffic and usable data, then run three focused experiences with a proper comparison group. The readout tells you what happened on your own site, in plain terms. If you go ahead with a full build soon after, the sprint fee counts towards it.

Problems this solves

You cannot tell whether personalization would help your site

We launch 3 personalized experiences on up to 3 pages and keep a holdout group on the normal page. The 30-day readout compares the groups on your own traffic.

Your data or consent setup may not support targeting

The sprint starts with a data and consent check covering GA4, consent mode and CRM fields. A traffic sufficiency estimate shows whether each test can be read.

Personalization projects start big and are hard to stop

The sprint is limited to 4 segments, 3 experiences and 3 pages. It ends with a keep-or-stop recommendation, so you decide with evidence before spending more.

A good fit if

Your target pages get around 10,000 or more sessions a month, enough to compare groups of visitors.
You are curious about personalization but do not want to commit to a full build before seeing evidence.
You already have GA4 working and a consent banner on your site.
You can name one person who approves segments and the copy for each experience.

Not the right fit if

You already know you want site-wide AI personalization. See AI Website Personalization.
You want to test page designs and layouts rather than tailor content to segments. See CRO Testing.
You first need to know why visitors are not converting. See CRO Audit.
GA4 or your tracking is missing or broken. See Tracking and Analytics Setup first.

How it works

  1. You share GA4 viewer access, site or tag manager access, and access to your personalization tool if you have one.
  2. We check your analytics, consent mode and CRM fields, and estimate whether each test has enough traffic to read.
  3. We map up to 4 visitor segments, such as industry, returning visitors or traffic source, and agree them with you.
  4. We build 3 personalized experiences on up to 3 pages, such as a headline, call to action or proof section.
  5. A holdout group sees your normal page, and every experience is checked on desktop and mobile before launch.
  6. After 30 days we compare the groups, then send a written results readout and a keep-or-stop recommendation.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • GA4 viewer access, added as a user rather than a shared login.
  • Access to your site or tag manager, by invite or a key you control.
  • Access to your personalization tool by invite, if you already use one.
  • A working consent banner on the site.
  • One person who approves the segments and the copy for each experience.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

Running costs

If we use our lightweight script, there are no running costs. If you prefer a tool such as Webflow Optimize, VWO, Optimizely or HubSpot smart content, you pay its license to the vendor.

Custom requirements

Add a note at checkout if you need something specific. If it fits within the Scope Card it is simply included. If it goes beyond it, you get a written Change Quote within two working days, and that work starts only once you accept it, with its time added to your delivery date.

Keep it running

This is a one-time sprint, so there is no maintenance plan. If the readout says keep going, you can order AI Website Personalization or AI Dynamic Messaging. If you order either within 30 days of the readout, the sprint fee is credited against it. If the answer is stop, you have saved the cost of a full build.

How this compares

Starting point You buy a personalization tool and work out the setup yourself Often a larger project scoped before any test A small pilot on 3 pages, after checking traffic and data
Measurement Easy to skip a proper comparison group Varies by provider A holdout group and a 30-day results readout
Decision You decide alone whether it is working The recommendation may favor more work A plain keep-or-stop recommendation from the results

Questions about this product

How much traffic do we need for a personalization pilot?

Around 10,000 or more monthly sessions on the target pages. With less traffic, the groups are too small to show a clear difference within 30 days. We estimate traffic sufficiency for each test before building anything. If the numbers are too low, we will tell you, and recommend which pages to use or whether to wait.

Will website personalization increase our conversion rate?

It might, but nobody can promise that. That is why the sprint uses a holdout group, so you can compare personalized visitors with visitors who saw the normal page. The readout shows what happened on your own traffic. Sometimes the honest answer is that personalization is not worth it yet, and that is useful to know too.

How does the fee credit towards a full personalization build work?

Order AI Website Personalization or AI Dynamic Messaging within 30 days of the readout, and the sprint fee is credited. You do not have to order anything. The credit simply means the pilot is not wasted if you decide to go further. After 30 days, the credit no longer applies.

Do we need a paid personalization tool for this sprint?

No. We can use our lightweight script, which has no running cost. If you already pay for Webflow Optimize, VWO, Optimizely or HubSpot smart content, we can build the experiences there instead. Segments that need a paid visitor-reveal tool are outside the scope, but we can quote them through a Change Quote.

Is personalizing content for visitors allowed under privacy rules?

It can be, when it respects consent. The sprint starts with a check of your consent banner, consent mode and the data used for targeting. Segments use data you are already allowed to use. This check helps you prepare and is not legal advice, so confirm anything specific to your business with a qualified adviser.

What does a personalized experience look like on the page?

Usually a change to one part of an existing page. Examples include a headline for a visitor's industry or a different call to action for returning visitors. Proof that matches the traffic source is another. We do not design new pages. Each experience is checked on desktop and mobile before it goes live.

What happens after the personalization readout?

You decide, with a clear recommendation to guide you. The readout, segment map and results are yours to keep, and the experiences can stay live or be switched off. You can ask follow-up questions during the support period. If you go ahead with a full build within 30 days, the sprint fee is credited.

Test personalization before you commit

Order Personalization Quick-Start Sprint for three measured experiences, a holdout comparison and an honest keep-or-stop answer.
