Localization QA Pass

One translated language in your product is checked end to end, so speakers of it get answers that read naturally and correctly.

A second language that reads like a machine translation costs you the trust you worked to build. This add-on puts one language in your Upmark Labs product through a full check by a fluent reviewer. Wording, terms, dates, currencies and layout are tested in real use, problems are fixed in the product, and you get a report of every change. Your glossary stays the reference.

  • Answers that read naturally to native speakers
  • Dates, currencies and layout checked in real use
  • Every fix re-checked and listed in a findings report

What it is

Localization QA Pass is an add-on that checks one language your team or another provider translated in an existing Upmark Labs product. A fluent reviewer uses the product as a customer would. Wording, terms, formats and layout problems are fixed and re-checked. Languages added with our Additional Language Pack already include glossary and testing.

Why businesses buy it

Customers notice clumsy wording in their own language at once, and many quietly leave rather than complain. An awkward phrase in a support answer or a wrong date format at checkout makes the whole business feel less reliable. This pass finds those problems before your customers do, and fixes them inside the product rather than handing you a list. The Scope Card names the language, the reviewer's checks and the report you receive, so the result is clear before you order.

Problems this solves

A translated version reads awkwardly to native speakers

Localization QA Pass has a fluent reviewer use one localized language in your product as a customer would. Wording and terminology problems are found and then fixed.

Dates, numbers and currency appear in the wrong local format

Dates, numbers and other formats are part of the review, alongside wording and terminology. Anything that looks wrong to that language's readers is corrected in the product itself.

Longer translated text breaks buttons and page layouts

Layout is checked in the localized language, not only in the original. Every fix is re-checked by the fluent reviewer before sign-off, so nothing new breaks along the way.

A good fit if

Your product already runs in a second language, and nobody fluent has checked it closely.
Customers or local staff have reported odd phrasing, wrong terms or broken layouts in that language.
Dates, currencies, addresses or names need to follow local conventions.
The product is an Upmark Labs build, and that language was translated by your team or another provider.

Not the right fit if

The language is not in the product yet. The Additional Language Pack adds it, with glossary and testing already included.
You want translations checked continuously across your content. AI Localization QA is the standalone product.
You need content translated in the first place. The AI Translation Agent translates with your glossary.
You need several languages checked. Order one QA pass per language.

How it works

  1. The language scope is set. We confirm which language and market, and which parts of the product use it.
  2. A glossary is agreed. Brand terms, product names and words that must or must not be translated are fixed first.
  3. The product is used in that language. Real-shaped questions, tasks or outputs are run and read by a reviewer fluent in it.
  4. Problems are fixed. Wording, terminology, formats and layout issues are corrected within the parent product.
  5. The language is checked again, then you get a findings report, one revision round and a written walkthrough.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • The order reference of the product being checked
  • The language and market to check, such as French for Canada or Spanish for Mexico
  • Your glossary or brand terms, if you have them
  • Feedback already received from speakers of that language
  • One person, ideally fluent, who approves the fixes
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

What you receive at handover

  • A full QA pass on one localized language in your existing product
  • Fixes for wording, terminology, format and layout problems found
  • Every fix re-checked by a fluent reviewer before sign-off
  • A test report, updated documentation, a handoff note and a written walkthrough

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Helps the localized version feel natural to its readers
  • Can reduce confusion caused by wrong formats
  • Makes it easier to trust the language before promoting it
Issues found and fixed
Compare the test report's issue list with the recheck at sign-off.
Language-specific support requests
Count tickets from that language's customers in the months before and after.
Completion in that language
Compare completed tasks or conversations in that language from your analytics, before and after.

Before you start: Collect any feedback from native speakers so far. Note support requests in that language over the last few months.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

A QA pass adds no running cost. Testing uses some AI model calls in your own account, and afterwards the product runs as before.

Custom requirements

Checking several languages, regional variants beyond the one agreed, or content outside the product is beyond a single pass. Note them at checkout for a written Change Quote.

Keep it running

New content in that language should follow the agreed glossary. Small wording fixes later fit within the parent product's maintenance, which grows in line with the add-on's price.

Questions about this product

What does the Localization QA Pass check?

The product as a speaker of that language would use it. That covers natural wording, correct terminology, brand terms left in English where agreed, local formats for dates, currency and addresses, and layout issues such as cut-off text. Each finding is recorded with the fix made.

Who reviews the language?

A reviewer fluent in the language and familiar with the market you choose. They use the product with real-shaped questions or tasks rather than reading strings out of context. Your own approver, ideally also fluent, signs off the fixes before the pass is closed.

How is this different from the Additional Language Pack?

The Additional Language Pack adds a new language to a product, and its glossary and testing are already included. This QA pass is for a language your own team or another provider translated. A fluent reviewer checks it closely in real use and fixes what is wrong. You do not need both for the same language.

Can I check two languages in one order?

Yes, by adding one QA pass per language. Each language gets its own glossary, reviewer and findings report. If two variants are close, such as Spanish for Spain and for Mexico, mention it in the checkout note and we confirm whether they need separate passes.

What do I receive at the end of the QA pass?

A findings report listing every issue found, where it appeared and how it was fixed, plus the updated product and documentation. Anything the reviewer recommends but which falls outside the product, such as website copy, is listed separately so your team can decide what to do with it.

Does the pass cover voice agents?

Yes. For a voice agent, the reviewer listens to test calls in the language and checks pronunciation, phrasing and how numbers and dates are spoken. For text products, the same pass covers written replies, generated content or documents, depending on what the product produces.

Make your second language read like a first.

Add a Localization QA Pass and one language in your product is used, reviewed and fixed by a fluent reviewer, with a written report of every change made.
