AI Win-Back Agent for Shopify

Shopify customers who stopped ordering get an offer drawn from their own order history and your Shopify discounts.

Your Shopify admin is full of customers who bought once or twice, then drifted away. This agent compares each customer's last order date with the window you choose, skips anyone with an open order or a recent message, and picks an offer from the products they bought before. Shopify discounts are attached only when your rules allow, and every regained order is counted.

  • Lapsed Shopify customers found from their real last order date
  • Offers built from past products, with discounts only under your rules
  • Nobody contacted twice in the same cycle

What it is

AI Win-Back Agent for Shopify spots customers whose last Shopify order is older than the window you set, chooses an offer based on what each one bought, and sends it through your email or SMS platform. Its two-way Shopify connection reads products, orders, customers, fulfilments and discounts on an agreed mapping. Recovered revenue is reported, not assumed.

Why businesses buy it

Shopify makes it easy to acquire customers and surprisingly hard to keep them. Without a win-back routine, past buyers quietly move to competitors, and the money spent winning them the first time is lost. This edition reads your Shopify history directly, so every message is grounded in what the customer actually bought and every recovered order is proven in your store. Your discount codes and messaging platform stay yours. The Scope Card fixes the access, the rules and the testing before you pay.

Problems this solves

Customers whose last order was long ago get no special attention

The agent spots customers whose last Shopify order is older than the window you set. It then sends a re-engagement message through your email or SMS platform.

Win-back discounts ignore what each customer actually liked buying

The two-way Shopify connection reads products, orders, customers, fulfilments and discounts on an agreed mapping. Each offer is chosen from what that person bought before.

Recovered revenue figures are often guesses rather than real orders

Recovered revenue is reported from actual returning Shopify orders, not assumed from clicks. Each order is matched to its message through the documented field mapping.

A good fit if

Your Shopify customer list includes plenty of people who ordered once or twice, then stopped.
You want lapse measured from real Shopify order dates, not from email opens or a guess.
Win-back incentives should come from discounts you manage in Shopify, used only where your rules allow.
A Shopify admin can set up a custom app with Admin API scopes and approve the field mapping in writing.

Not the right fit if

You want to recover carts left in the last few hours or days. See AI Abandoned Cart Agent for Shopify.
Your segments and flows live in Klaviyo and the build should center there. See AI Win-Back Agent for Klaviyo.
You want proactive shipping updates on current orders. See AI Order Tracking Agent for Shopify.
You want active customers reminded to reorder on schedule. See AI Repeat Purchase Agent.

How it works

  1. Custom app. Your Shopify admin creates a custom app with the Admin API scopes we list, and we document the field mapping for your approval.
  2. Lapse check. On a schedule, Shopify customers are compared with the lapse window you chose, using their most recent order date.
  3. Sense checks. Anyone with an order still awaiting fulfillment, or already contacted in the current cycle, is skipped.
  4. Offer. The AI decision step looks at each customer's past products and picks an angle, attaching a Shopify discount only when your rules allow it.
  5. Send. The message goes out through your email or SMS platform, the one extra system, carrying your sender reputation and opt-out handling.
  6. Proof. New Shopify orders from contacted customers are matched to the message, so recovered revenue is reported rather than assumed.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • A Shopify custom app with the Admin API scopes we list, set up by your admin and shared securely in the way we agree at intake, never by email.
  • Your Shopify admin to create the custom app and approve the mapping.
  • Access to the email or SMS platform that will send win-back messages.
  • Your lapse window and the discount rules any offer must follow.
  • Five to ten real lapsed customers with their past orders.
  • A short description of what you do for lapsed customers today, and who gets error alerts.
  • Your business basics and one decision-maker for approvals.
  • An API key for your own AI model account (for example OpenAI or Google Gemini), created for this build with a spending limit.
The 72-hour rule. Send everything on your checklist, including access, within 72 hours of ordering so your build starts on time.

What you receive at handover

  • AI Win-Back Agent for Shopify configured and deployed
  • A two-way Shopify connection with documented field mapping
  • Access set up through invites or keys you control
  • A test report on sandbox or test records
  • An admin guide, the written handover report and 30 days of post-launch support

Expected benefits and how to measure them

  • Can reach lapsed Shopify customers with offers that fit their history
  • Gives an honest view of revenue won back
  • Helps the team stop pulling lapsed lists by hand
Returning customer rate
Compare Shopify's returning customer rate for the quarter before launch with the quarter after.
Recovered revenue
Take the figure from the agent's report each month.
Lapsed customers reactivated
Count customers who ordered again after a message, using the matched orders in Shopify.

Before you start: Record your returning customer rate from Shopify and count customers past your lapse window. Keep that count to compare against later.

These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.

Running costs

The build is a one-time cost. Running it costs roughly $20 to $100 a month in your own accounts for the automation platform and AI usage. Shopify and your email or SMS provider bill you separately, as they do now.

Usage during build and testing is billed to your accounts too.

Custom requirements

Several lapse windows, a second sending platform, another language or custom Shopify objects beyond the mapping need a Change Quote. Add a checkout note and it comes back in writing.

Keep it running

Monthly maintenance is recommended for this edition: monitoring, fixes and change hours, for instance shortening the lapse window for a fast-moving range or swapping the discounts offered.

$249/mo (the minimum fee, includes 2 change hours)

Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.

Questions about this product

How does the Shopify win-back agent measure a lapse?

From each customer's most recent Shopify order date, compared with the window you choose at intake, such as no order in ninety days. The check runs on a schedule you agree. Customers with an order still awaiting fulfillment are skipped, because they have not really gone quiet.

Which Shopify discounts can a win-back offer use?

Only the ones your rules allow, read from the discounts you manage in Shopify. You decide at intake which discounts suit lapsed customers and under what conditions. If none applies, the agent picks a product angle from past orders and sends the message without an incentive.

Can the agent avoid contacting the same Shopify customer too often?

Yes. A contact rule is set at intake, for example one win-back message per customer per cycle, and the agent checks it before each send. Anyone already contacted is skipped and logged, so a lapsed customer is not chased repeatedly while you wait to see whether they return.

Which platform sends the Shopify win-back messages?

Your existing email or SMS platform, connected as the one extra system on the Scope Card. Shopify supplies orders, products, customers and discounts, and your messaging platform delivers each message and handles consent and unsubscribes. A second sending platform would need a Change Quote.

What is included in the Shopify win-back edition?

It includes the Shopify custom app connection, the documented field mapping, your lapse window and skip rules, the offer step with discount rules, twenty test runs, two rounds of changes and a written handover report. The fixed price and the express and rush options are shown on this page before you buy, and every speed carries the same scope.

What does Shopify win-back cost to run each month?

Roughly $20 to $100 a month for the automation platform and AI usage, paid in your own accounts. Shopify and your email or SMS platform bill you separately. We take no share of revenue recovered, and monthly maintenance is optional.

Bring lapsed Shopify customers back with offers that make sense to them.
