Type a question in plain language and get back the SQL query, ready to run or adapt.
Analysts spend too long writing routine SQL, and everyone else waits for them. This assistant turns a plain-language question into a query written against your own schema, runs it read-only and returns the results with the exact SQL shown. Analysts can check, adapt and reuse it. Every query comes with a plain-language explanation, so the logic is never hidden.

AI SQL Assistant turns a plain-language question into a SQL query written against your own schema, runs it read-only, and returns the results with the exact query shown so an analyst can verify or adapt it. Each query comes with a plain-language explanation.
Routine queries eat analyst time that should go on harder problems, and small mistakes in joins or filters can quietly mislead a decision. This assistant writes a solid first draft against your real schema and explains it, so analysts move faster and less experienced staff learn as they go. Because every query is shown, nothing is a black box. The written scope sets the databases, metrics and testing against your history before you order.
The assistant turns a plain-language question into a SQL query written against your own schema. It runs the query read-only and returns the results with a plain-language explanation.
Each answer shows the exact query used, so an analyst can verify it, adapt it or reuse it. Up to twenty-five recurring questions are defined so common queries are consistent.
Every result comes with the SQL shown in full. Before launch, results are checked against three months of your historical data, and connections are read-only.
Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.
| Option | Delivery time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 20–30 working days | $5,500 |
| Express | 15–25 working days | $6,450 |
| Rush | 10–20 working days | $7,450 |
Before you start: Log a few weeks of data requests with who asked and how long each took. Note which tables people ask about most.
These are things to track, not promised results. Outcomes depend on your data, your team and your market.
The build itself is a one-time payment, shown before you buy. Running the assistant costs roughly $20 to $150 a month in your own accounts, covering AI model usage and hosting or scheduler fees, depending on how many queries analysts run.
AI usage during the build and testing is billed to your own accounts as well, so the database and AI provider relationships stay in your name.
Ask about running costsIf you need more than 3 databases connected, or query templates in a second language, add a note at checkout for a written Change Quote. Your order still runs on its original delivery date. Larger or bespoke projects go through the Custom AI request form instead.
Request a custom versionMonthly maintenance covers monitoring, fixes and change hours for new query templates, schema updates or added metrics. The change hours scale with the build. It starts after the included support period and can be cancelled any month.
$275/mo (5% of the build price a month, includes 2 change hours)
Optional. Starts after the post-launch support period. Cancel any month.
How maintenance works| Do it yourself with a SaaS tool | Hire a custom agency | Upmark Labs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | A text-to-SQL tool charges a monthly seat fee per analyst | A data agency quotes per query or per project | Ours is one fixed price, shown before you buy |
| Delivery | A text-to-SQL tool is instant to sign up but slow to learn your schema | An agency build usually takes several weeks | Ours has a fixed delivery time shown before you buy, with faster options |
| Query visibility | Some text-to-SQL tools hide the generated query behind a chat answer | An agency hands over queries at project end | Ours always shows the exact SQL alongside the result |
| Scope | A text-to-SQL tool license covers unlimited databases but unlimited setup too | An agency agrees scope during discovery | Ours is written on the Scope Card before purchase |
One fixed price, agreed before work starts, covers up to three read-only database connections, up to 25 defined metrics, one delivery channel and query checks against three months of your history. Faster delivery options are shown in the price panel before you order, and there are no other build fees.
PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery are the most common, alongside Google Sheets where a team keeps working data there instead. Tell us your setup during intake, and we confirm compatibility and read the schema in the first ten working days of the build.
The standard, Express and Rush delivery times are all shown in the price panel before you order, and the clock starts once your intake is complete. Delays only happen when schema access or metric definitions arrive late, which moves delivery by three working days per day of delay.
Yes, always. Every result comes with the exact SQL query shown alongside it, so an analyst can check it, copy it, or edit it directly. Nothing runs without the query being visible, which is how the assistant stays auditable inside a technical team.
Roughly $20 to $150 a month in your own accounts, covering AI model usage and hosting or scheduler fees. The figure depends on how many queries your analysts run and how many databases stay connected. You pay these providers directly.
Yes. A fourth or fifth database is priced in a written Change Quote before any work on it starts. Small changes, such as a new query template against an existing database, fit inside the monthly change hours that come with maintenance instead.
You do. Every query and template belongs to you and runs against your own database, in your own accounts. If maintenance lapses, the assistant keeps generating queries; you lose the monthly monitoring and included change hours, not the build. While active, those hours cover new query templates, schema updates or added metrics.
Order the AI SQL Assistant and your analysts get plain-language queries against your schema. The scope above is what you get, in writing, before you pay.
