Product Feed Optimization

Your product feed goes to Google Merchant Center and marketplaces complete, consistent and ready to be approved.

Products with vague titles, missing attributes or feed errors get disapproved or shown to the wrong shoppers, and the budget behind them goes nowhere. This add-on cleans the feed your Upmark Labs product sends to Google Merchant Center and the marketplaces you sell on. Titles and attributes are improved from your own product data, and errors are fixed and tracked until items are approved.

  • Fewer disapproved products in Merchant Center and on marketplaces
  • Titles and attributes improved from your own product data
  • Feed errors fixed and tracked through resubmission

What it is

Product Feed Optimization is an add-on for Upmark Labs AI catalog builds. It uses AI to write feed titles and attributes from your own product data. It also fixes feed errors before items go to Google Merchant Center and marketplaces. To set up Merchant Center and a store feed, see Google Merchant Center Feed or Shopping Ads Launch.

Why businesses buy it

A shopping listing is only as good as the feed behind it. When titles are vague or attributes are missing, products are rejected or matched to the wrong searches, and every week they stay that way is lost sales. Fixing feeds by hand takes hours and breaks again with the next upload. This add-on builds the fixes into the product that produces your feed, so new items arrive clean. The Scope Card names the channels and checks before you order, so nothing is left open.

Problems this solves

Products are disapproved in Merchant Center and nobody knows why

Product Feed Optimization fixes feed errors before submission and tracks disapproved items through resubmission. You can see which products are live and which still need attention.

Weak titles and missing attributes hide products from shoppers

Titles, attributes and categories in the feed are improved before submission. Listings then carry clearer, fuller details, which helps Google and marketplaces match products to shopper searches.

Feed problems are fixed one by one in a spreadsheet

Fixes are made in the feeds your existing product sends, not in a one-off file. The documentation explains the changes so they hold for future feeds.

A good fit if

Products in your feed are disapproved or flagged with warnings in Google Merchant Center.
Feed titles and attributes are thin, inconsistent or copied straight from your store.
You sell through marketplaces as well as your own shop, and each expects its own feed rules.
Your catalog product is an Upmark Labs content generator or analytics build.

Not the right fit if

You need Merchant Center set up and a store feed created, with no AI catalog build. See Google Merchant Center Feed, or Shopping Ads Launch if you also want a campaign.
You want missing attributes and duplicates fixed in the catalog itself. AI Catalog Optimization works on the source catalog.
You want product titles and descriptions rewritten for search on your own site. AI Product SEO does that.
You need new product images rather than better feed data. AI Catalog Image Generator creates them.
You want structured data on your product pages. The SEO Schema Pack adds it.

How it works

  1. The current feed is checked. We review errors, warnings and weak fields in your Merchant Center or marketplace account.
  2. Rules are agreed per destination. Title patterns, required attributes and category mapping for Google and each marketplace.
  3. The feed is improved. Titles, attributes and categories are filled and corrected from your own product data.
  4. The feed is resubmitted and checked. Errors are tracked until the agreed products pass or the remaining issues are explained.
  5. You review the changes with one revision round, then get documentation and a written walkthrough.

What you provide within 72 hours

Your portal lists these the moment you order. Delivery starts the working day after everything is in and your access is checked.

  • Your product data source, such as the store or catalog export
  • Brand rules for titles, and any words you must or must not use
  • One person who approves the feed rules

Running costs

Feed optimization uses some AI model usage to write titles and attributes, billed to your own account. Merchant Center is free to use; marketplace fees are charged by each marketplace as now.

Custom requirements

Feeds for channels beyond those agreed at intake, ad campaign setup, or price and stock rules are outside this add-on. Add a checkout note for a written Change Quote.

Keep it running

Feed rules change and new products arrive every season. Keeping the feed clean uses the change hours of the parent product's maintenance, which grows in line with the add-on's price.

Adds $75/mo to maintenance

Covered by the main product's maintenance, which grows by this amount.

Questions about this product

Which channels does Product Feed Optimization cover?

Google Merchant Center and the marketplaces agreed at intake. Each destination has its own title rules, required attributes and categories, so we set rules per channel. If you want more channels than were agreed, list them in the checkout note and any extra work is quoted first.

Can you get disapproved products approved?

We fix the feed problems that cause disapprovals, such as missing attributes, wrong categories or policy-breaking titles, and resubmit. Approval decisions belong to Google and each marketplace, so nobody can promise them. Any products still flagged at the end are listed with the reason.

Will product data be invented to fill gaps?

No. Titles and attributes are built from your own product data. Where a required attribute is genuinely missing, such as a size or material, we list it for you to supply rather than guessing. Invented attributes risk disapproval and misleading customers.

Does this change prices or stock in the feed?

No. Prices and stock levels come from your store as they do today. This add-on works on titles, attributes, categories and feed errors. Price or stock rules, such as sale price handling, are a separate scope that can be quoted.

Will new products I add later go out clean too?

Yes. The fixes are built into the step where your product creates the feed, so new items get the same title, attribute and category rules as the rest. If a channel changes its requirements, or you start selling in a new category, updating the rules fits within the change hours of the parent product's maintenance.

Do I need my own Merchant Center account?

Yes. The feed is submitted from accounts in your name, for Google Merchant Center and each marketplace. You keep ownership of the accounts and their data. If an account is not set up yet, create it before intake so the work can start on time.

Send a feed that gets your products listed.

Add Product Feed Optimization and your feed to Google Merchant Center and marketplaces is corrected, filled from your own data and tracked until your products are approved.
